Reports to NTDA President and work with her to receive training in all aspects of the Association (ongoing).
Assists President in formulating and executing a comprehensive marketing and branding plan to increase membership and develop strategies that will ensure continued growth of the Association by engaging new markets.
Actively participates in industry trade shows, networking receptions, conventions, programs and events, training programs, or other meetings as needed by helping to recruit new members. Assists with event set up and tear down as needed.
Researches opportunities to bolster membership by finding prospective members through: Web research, trade shows and events, reviewing competitive Association’s membership bases, via marketing campaigns and other methods.
Creates/issues membership and prospect?related reports for the President, Board of Directors, members and strategic partners as needed.
Assists President in development of a comprehensive short- and long-term strategy to attract new Convention sponsors and/or to develop new sponsorship categories.
Assist in all other conference areas as required. Participates in pre-convention (pre-con) and post-con logistics.
Manages of Allied Member Tabletop Displays and New Product Promotions including solicitation of participants, Tabletop Display layout, set-up and post-evaluation.
Coordinates annual golf tournament logistics and registration/player details (pre-con and on-site).
Manages conference-related surveys and other member surveys and makes suggestions for improvements based on member feedback.
Requests logos, ads or other materials from sponsors/advertisers as needed. Logs such materials to ensure the most up-to-date versions are printed or posted.
Works with hotel or facility staff as directed by the President to ensure accurate meeting room set up, food and beverage set up, audio/visual, and the like.
Manages Association training programs including Webinars, seminars and other events.
Oversees “Next Generation” program designed to encourage younger individuals within member organizations to participate in Association programs and services and to provide relevant training opportunities.
Responsible for proofreading of NTDA publications TrailerTalk, News Alert, Membership Directory, membership recruiting brochures, sponsorship brochures, Media Kit, and other corporate collateral as required.
Writes, edits, designs and proofreads PowerPoint Presentations, charts/graphs, brochures, flyers, advertisements, invitations, literature, surveys, reports, speeches, scripts, videos, as well as other materials and/or documents as needed.
Keeps NTDA’s media list updated and distributes press releases. Compiles member and industry news for NTDA's Web site, e-newsletter and print newsletter.
Researches and utilizes engagement tools, including public relations, social media, and emerging communications technologies for the NTDA and its members. Utilizes social media for the betterment and goodwill of the Association and the industry. Creates content for corporate videos and posts them on YouTube or other sites as needed.
Maintains posting of content on the NTDA Web site, www.ntda.org, and for Association applications.
Prepares registration confirmation notices, printed Event Guide, electronic communications, membership brochures, banners and signage, and other materials as needed.
Conducts Web-based research and other resources as required to grow the Association, its programs and services and to analyze competitors.
Acts as a goodwill ambassador for the NTDA and the semi-trailer industry at all times.
Candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and have a minimum of two years of relevant work experience.
Candidate must be able to travel out of state when required for up to one week (or more) at a time.
Office hours are 8:00 am-5:00 pm. However, keep in mind that this is a salaried position, and the candidate may be expected to work more than 40 hours per week to accomplish assigned workload. Telecommuting is not an option for this position.
