The Education and Learning Specialist is responsible for coordinating and administering the various programs, products, and services associated with professional development and continuing education for counselors. The Education and Learning Specialist coordinates the administrative process for continuing education.
Coordinate and administer professional development and continuing education programs, products, and services, including but not limited to Learning Institutes, conference educational sessions at conference, meetings and seminars, online learning, etc.
Serves as digital editor for online content related to professional development and continuing education, using ACA protocol providing a UX focus.
Manages the Abstract Management System and the Learning Management System (LMS).
Coordinate the continuing education process for course content and presenters for the ACA, its Divisions, Branches, Regions, and affiliated-counselor organizations.
Serve as point of contact for counselor inquiries regarding continuing education (second-tier engagement).
Coordinate the Call for Proposals and Proposal Review process.
Provide assistance to the Conference Program Selection Committee.
Provide input to the annual budget and budget projections.
Provide monthly reports and other financial data as required.
Remain current with continuing education approval requirements with all approval bodies (e.g, NBCC, CRCC, APT, NAADAC, Ohio State, NY State and Washington State).
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Work, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
Strong attention to detail.

Superior organization skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner.
Strong time management skills.
