The Director, US East Region will provide strategic guidance to chapter leadership and the Regional Council members consistent with the mission and vision statements of the Global Organization. The Director, US East Region will advise Regional Council members on standard operations and best practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Update and drive the regional plan to attain regional, area and chapter goals.
Responsible for the regional budget and recommendations for the future.
Provide monthly regional action plan and regional updates to Global Board of Directors.
Main contact for the member Regional Chair and member-led Regional Council.
Mitigate red flags from the region and ensure all chapters meet minimum standards.
Oversee two Regional Managers who manage a portfolio of US East Chapters.
Liaises with Chapter Launch Director to oversee project management of chapter launches in the US East Region.
Drive the growth of the region toward annual goal.
Ensure the success of Presidents’ meeting, Regional Event and chapter Strategy Summits.
Be an EO ambassador at local and Global events.
Attendance required at each Regional Conference, Presidents’ Meeting, Global Leadership Conference and other events as required.
Video Conference Meetings – Weekly staff huddle, monthly EO staff, monthly membership, weekly one-on-ones with staff, monthly Regional Council, project meetings as required.
Keep on top of latest trends through conversations with members, staff, and publications.
Identify, share, and document chapter best processes that deliver the best results.
Hire, train, review and coach staff if applicable.
Help drive personal and professional develop of staff and self.
Provide direction to and focus Regional Managers on chapter health.
Handle all Membership related escalation issues which cannot be handled by Chapter Manager – e.g. Basic solicitations, policies and procedures, major problem resolutions, etc.
Other duties as required from time to time to support the vision and mission of the region(s) and Global Organization.

Education and/or Experience:
5-7 years business experience, preferably in a membership organization.
Effective leadership and management experience.
Budget management experience.
Excellent customer service skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft products (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)
Event and logistic experience
Proficiency in collaboration tools (Slack, Basecamp, SamePage, CRM, etc.)
