MWFPA is looking for a talented individual with experience in association management and government affairs to serve as the president. Working in concert with our board of directors, the professional selected will have overall responsibility for MWFPA's performance in membership growth, operational efficiency, financial stability, market presence, affiliated partnerships, fundraising, and staff development/performance.
The Midwest Food Products Association (MWFPA) is a non-profit trade association with nearly 300 members around the nation, including Belgium, Italy and Canada.
Primary duties of the president include implementing board and committee priorities, interacting with industry groups, and coordinating the public policy efforts of the organization. The MWFPA represents food processors and related industries in Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. The MWFPA offices are in Madison, WI.
5+ years association management or related experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience
Transparent and high integrity leadership
Strong budget management skills, including budget development, analysis, decision-making and reporting
Strong organizational skills including planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation
Ability to convey a vision of MWFPA future to staff, board, volunteers and donors
Skills to work with other organizations on a variety of issues
Strong written and oral communication skills including public speaking ability
