Manage the Foundation’s annual fund programs including direct responsibility for executing the annual fundraising plan and serving as support for other fundraising initiatives, to help achieve Foundation strategic goals. Serve as a liaison to external donors and volunteers. Facilitate the analytic understanding of the Foundation’s diverse annual and endowment fundraising campaigns, including the NetWorks Challenge, annual appeal, individual and employee giving campaign.
Execute and implement the strategic fundraising plan to ensure attainment of the approximately half-million dollar annual fund goal.
Manage the calendar of annual fund appeals including the Champions Circle annual fund giving club; Honoraria, Honor and Memorial giving; NetWorks Challenge; employee giving campaign, and endowment funds.
Assist Director of Development with creation and management of individual giving donor profiles and moves management system
Assist Director of Development with securing major gift and increasing individual giving constituency.
Manage and execute special fundraising events including local and regional donor cultivation events.
Provide monthly reports to track and analyze key philanthropic fundraising results.
Implement donor acknowledgment programs including compilation and distribution of the annual report and donor newsletters
Increase awareness of the Foundation’s mission and programs to a global audience to ensure growth of the donor base.
Increase philanthropic support and meet strategic goal objectives by implementing measurable fundraising programs as defined in a multi-year plan. This comprehensive annual fundraising plan includes annual fund, major gifts, planned giving, special events, and new fundraising initiatives. It also includes working with Business Development to establish fundable cause-related marketing sponsorships with corporate supporters.
Foster the cultivation and solicitation of individual donors including incorporating a moves strategy, face to face meetings, phone solicitations, and mail campaign.
Manage and execute the recognition activities and special donor activities at leadership meetings including the CHEST Annual Meeting.
Communicate with donors in a timely manner in the preparation of acknowledgment letters and receipts.
Remain current on innovative fundraising techniques.
Manage individual gift processing to ensure effective donor recognition and stewardship programs and systems including acknowledgment letters and receipts.
Maintain and reconcile both the Capital Campaign and Annual Fund pledges on a monthly basis with the finance staff.
Contribute to the preparation of the annual operating budget, periodic financial reports, cash flow reports, and other reports, in collaboration with Foundation and Finance staff.
Facilitate / execute special projects as they occur
Complete other tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Competencies:
5+ years in a fundraising capacity with increasing responsibility and a proven track record of success
An undergraduate degree in a discipline that complements the skills and professional expertise utilized in an active fundraising environment
Expertise and expertise in use of fundraising software
Experience working with donors and board members
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Mature and responsible with an ability to achieve annual goals by working independently and by multi-tasking
Demonstrated ability to cooperate and work collaboratively in teams across the organization
Competent in the use of the Microsoft suite of software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Social Media
Ability to accommodate 20% - 25% travel
