National Quality Forum (NQF) is a not-for-profit membership organization conveniently located at McPherson Square in Washington, DC. National Quality Forum leads national collaboration to improve health and healthcare quality through measurement. We are currently seeking a full time Project Manager, Business Planning and Strategy to join our team.
The Project Manager, Business Planning and Strategy coordinates and manages strategy and planning processes and projects across NQF. He/She coordinates elements in the health equity strategy portfolio, supports development and execution of high-profile, industry shifting initiatives, supports business development including idea concepting and proposal response as well as managing and coordinating business development pipeline activities. assists the VP in implementing process improvements within the organization,
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages project inventory and status
Curates and manages health equity content across NQF.
Identifies common points of interest and knowledge across projects. Works closely with project leads to gather information and coordinate activities.
Serves as key liaison and support for messaging and communications related to this portfolio of projects.
Researches, recommends and tracks related key industry events and speaking opportunities.
Helps identify and close gaps in projects, working closely with relevant parties to ensure execution and communication.
Assists in strategic project development and lead work plan development and execution.
Leads and facilitates project committee/work group meetings.
Business Development Pipeline Coordination
Manages the pipeline including tracking activities and reporting. Follows up on action items with appropriate staff.
Serves as liaison for strategic partnerships. Serves as point-of-contact with external parties to handle logistics and scheduling.
Works with executive staff in development and implementation of strategic initiatives.
Works collaboratively within and across NQF departments.
Identifies opportunities to collaborate with colleagues across the organization as needed to enhance assigned work.
Participates in the development of organizational policies and procedures and promotes process improvement.
Bachelor’s degree required
PMP or other project management certification a plus
Experience managing a portfolio of projects across programs or departments
Experience generating effective metrics, delivering status reporting, and driving team activities
Knowledge of and passionate interest in the healthcare delivery system, public health, health IT, or health policy a plus
Experience concepting and delivering high-impact deliverables
Facilitation experience preferred
At least two years of consulting experience preferred
