The Professional Education & Training (PE&T) department supports the Council’s position as an industry thought leader and admissions expert by convening schools to discuss global and regional industry issues, delivering skills training, and sharing research-based knowledge and information.
The Professional Education and Training Associate Manager supports the planning and delivery of all GMAC programs and events and is responsible for delivering fast and sustainable results in five (5) primary areas:
Registration Management & Customer Care;
Event Communication and Marketing;
Exhibit and Sponsorship Acquisition & Execution; and
Project management for PE&T initiatives including research, planning and oversight of projects.
Create and maintain registration sites for PE&T events, including conferences and new PE&T programming.
Manage customer service life cycle for event registration, including developing customer care processes and materials to support customer service teams, monitoring registration, understanding audience, and checking requirements for event attendance.
Serve as PE&T liaison and support to the regional offices in matters of registration, payment systems, and attendee communications.
Develop and execute marketing and promotional plans for PE&T programs and events, including developing messaging plans, managing timelines, drafting and editing copy, production of program collateral material, and directing consultants and contractors as needed.
Development and maintenance of PE&T webpages, including developing content, managing timelines, and directing consultants and contractors as needed.
Develop and execute plans for event logistics, including meeting planning, vendor management, facility liaison, shipping, onsite registration set up and management, and onsite exhibitor services.
Develop and execute plans for onsite attendee engagement, including conference app building and maintenance, gamification and app usage, monitoring and reporting on success and developing strategies for future improvements.
Prepare and analyze post event evaluations and report results, including attendee satisfaction and exhibitor and sponsor satisfaction; develop recommendations for future improvements.
Master the use and integration of internal systems, including CRM, GDAT, C-Vent, Trello, SharePoint and PowerBI.
Development and execution of sales and acquisition plans for Annual Conference exhibit and sponsorships.
Develop and execute sales programs for conference and PE&T programs outside the Annual Conference.
Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
3 years of work experience in related field.
Associate’s degree; Or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience.
Strong understanding how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Ability to prioritize work to resolve operational or departmental issues.
Ability to work independently with moderate supervision and in a team setting, and across external and internal stakeholder groups.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Strong attention to detail, with a keen focus on quality.
Ability to multitask under pressure with poise/confidence.
Ability to travel to support event execution as needed. (avg. of 30 days travel annually)

Bachelor’s degree in related field (marketing, communication, event planning, etc.).
