Chapter Relations, Information Technology and Web, Project Management/Program Development
The Director of Strategic Partnerships is responsible for the overall strategy, development, management, and growth of the centralized application service for nursing, NursingCAS, and seeks out opportunities to establish new strategic partnerships for AACN.
Oversees the management and administration of NursingCAS for AACN by directing internal and external vendor staff to ensure that operations, support, and technology are meeting user needs to facilitate retention and growth.
Identifies, evaluates, and establishes strategic partnerships with schools to help them adapt their internal admissions processes and connect systems to implement the NursingCAS software and maximize their use of the service.
Serves as an expert resource on nursing admissions, enrollment management practices, and NursingCAS for affiliated schools and those considering participation.
Develops relationships and engagement strategies to cultivate growth. Develops and implements marketing strategies to expand the number of affiliated nursing schools and achieve revenue targets.
Conducts outreach and presentations to stakeholder groups; including nursing education coalitions, state deans and director groups, and various staff at prospective nursing schools.
Manages Outreach Coordinator who maintains the CAS database and dashboard, newsletters, email campaigns, as well as the nursingcas.org website and social media accounts.
Collaborates with staff at partner technology company, Liaison International, to continuously improve the service, including prioritization of enhancements by assessing user feedback, trends, and data. Establishes and executes adoption, onboarding, retention, and training procedures.
Leads advisory committee to promote adoption, advance the service, and inform technology vendor of needs and any potential or ongoing issues related to the product.
Identifies opportunities to establish strategic partnerships and revenue sharing agreements with corporate entities and other partners with the goal of offering new benefits to AACN member schools.
Director Requirements and Qualifications
Qualified candidates must have a master’s degrees with at least five years of experience in higher education, strategic partnership management, business operations and/or communications/marketing, preferably at an association.
Must be highly organized, strong attention to detail, flexible and collaborative, and superior interpersonal skills. Excellent ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Additional qualifications include solid time management, problem solving skills, and strong project management.
