This position is for an association management professional with experience in project coordination and customer service. Responsible for successful execution of client objectives, coordinating meetings, generating reports, staffing committees, and interfacing with non-profit client leadership about activities.
Specific tasks include:
Project Coordination - Workgroup management, meeting support, contract fulfillment and reporting, and other administrative tasks assigned by the Project Manager.
Board and Executive Committee - attend meetings, maintain rosters, coordinate invitations, take and distribute minutes.
Newsletter - compile links and articles submitted by staff colleagues into a MailChimp Washington Update template, distribute monthly, export to a PDF and post online.
Strategic Partnerships & Corporate Engagement - track sponsor agreements, invoicing, terms, ensure fulfillment of agreements under the supervision of the Partnership Director.
General Support - run virtual meetings as the organizer, display materials, take minutes, monitor chat box; administer social media accounts, provide graphics assistance for documents, presentations and other materials.
Proposal Submission - assemble and proofread proposal materials to RFP specifications working with staff proposal teams.
Positive attitude is critical to deliver superior customer service and interact with staff team. Must be flexible and comfortable with multi-tasking, able to work with limited supervision and successfully within a team. Some travel is required outside the DC area, potentially 4-6 trips annually.
Knowledge of office operations, project planning and management.
Must be extremely well-organized and task-oriented, and be accurate with an attention to detail.
Good communications skills.
Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite, GoToMeeting or other webinar software; experience with Association Management Software (AMS) preferred. Be able to rapidly learn and use new software.
Experience with social media management preferred.
Relevant work in a non-profit, member-based organization or association management company.
Experience with grant coordination and development preferred.
