The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International, a trade association representing the commercial real estate industry, seeks a creative multi-tasker to support our busy Education & Meetings division in downtown Washington, D.C. near Metro. The position is responsible for assisting with all BOMA International conferences, meetings and education programs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Responding to customer service requests, via phone and e-mail, regarding all BOMA conferences, education courses and programs.
Data entry and processing registration records and reports
Assisting with meeting planning functions including specifications for hotels and suppliers, housing/room blocks, and VIP arrangements.
Coordinating the production of BOMA education Webinars
Assisting with the maintenance and delivery of all BOMA education courses including classroom-based and online offerings.
Assisting with the development of conference education sessions to include the Call for Presentations, speaker coordination, assessment/evaluation, and generating CE forms and completion certificates.
Providing marketing support for education and meetings to include proofreading promotional pieces, list management, printing and mailing coordination, and assist with maintaining content on Websites and social media.
A Bachelor’s degree and minimum one (1) year of experience managing some aspect of conferences or events, preferably in an association environment
Proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience using a member/customer relationship database and an automated registration system preferred
Familiarity with Webinar platforms and Learning Management Systems a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong customer service skills
Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
Some travel required
