AMT seeks a strategic marketing professional to join its growing team. In this newly created position, the successful candidate will play an integral role for the organization, informing and supporting marketing and business development initiatives to drive effective decision-making. Essential responsibilities include gathering, analyzing and reporting performance analytics, assessing market trends, and recommending strategy for further action. This position works closely with marketing and business development staff and also interacts with senior staff and member leaders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Collect, critically analyze and interpret organizational business performance. Examine customer characteristics, including purchasing trends, and identify trends and growth opportunities. Report findings and recommend strategy.
Systematically research and identify new business opportunities in markets served by the organization. Present actionable insights on a regular basis.
Gather and analyze market intelligence, including competition and other environmental factors that affect the organization. Identify salient points, draw conclusions, and communicate recommendations.
Forecast how market trends will impact products and services. Propose changes in the product mix for the organization to consider.
Develop and maintain dashboard analytics of the organization’s business position.
On an annual basis, perform market sizing and market share analytics and report findings and conclusions.
Conduct market research where appropriate to better assess customer needs and preferences.
Design and author business plans, reports, spreadsheets, graphics and written presentations.
Perform simple queries; work with internal staff for more complex data gathering.
Provide database support to input and track opportunities.
Education, Skills, and Background Required:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field.
Three to five years of marketing experience with a proven track record of successfully driving business decisions based on market intelligence and data performance.
Strong quantitative skills. Ability to perform simple database queries. Expert in Excel and other data analytics tools.
One to two years market research experience.
Experience in Salesforce CRM, association databases or similar a plus.
Ability to analyze and synthesize large amounts of data, draw conclusions and present recommendations.
Strong working knowledge of the healthcare industry. Professional association industry experience a plus.
Three to five years of experience displaying demonstrated problem solving, judgment and decision-making abilities including meeting goals and deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Extensive graphics and presentation software experience required.
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products.
