The Corporate Engagement Manager at ACORE works to recruit and retain corporate support of ACORE’s programs through membership and sponsorship offerings. This position will serve as an essential member of the corporate engagement team conducting direct outreach to current and prospective members, managing the ACORE prospect pipeline, developing targeted outreach efforts, managing member data and tracking key membership contacts and relationship touchpoints.
The Manager will utilize knowledge of the renewable energy sector and understanding of ACORE’s mission to support the continued growth and expansion of ACORE’s membership base, while helping to ensure that current members are appropriately engaged in ACORE’s various work streams.
For this position we seek a proactive self-starter, with excellent written and verbal communications skills, who is detail-orientated and eager to join an energetic team working hard to grow the organization and make an impact in our industry.
This position is based in Washington, DC though all staff are currently working remotely due to COVID-19.
Key job duties
Work with the corporate engagement team to implement a comprehensive recruitment plan, aimed at reaching aggressive growth goals, that includes developing targeted outreach campaigns, written pitches, and on-the-ground relationship building
Coordinate ACORE’s corporate recruitment pipeline
Engages and cultivates prospective companies with regular communication and outreach while maintaining relationship data
Serve as the primary point of contact for ACORE Supporter and Leadership Council members
Manage and maintain day-to-day member relations and participation in ACORE programs to help increase membership value and retention rates
Serve as a liaison between ACORE’s teams to improve overall member engagement, notify departments of member requests, and coordinate on programmatic changes based on industry trends
Oversee the membership renewal process in conjunction with the Finance & Accounting team
Serve as ACORE’s Salesforce Administrator, serving point of contact for staff questions and setting direction on data management
Support the administration and implementation of membership development events, such as hosting industry receptions, maintaining partnership agreements for events with supporting organizations, attending industry conferences, and actively searching for additional opportunities
Track industry news and trends to stay in line with the interests of ACORE members
Contributes, as needed and when assigned, to other projects including in support of member events
Travel as needed to industry conferences and member meetings approximately 10-15% of the time
4+ years of experience in the renewable energy industry including demonstrated progressively responsible experience in business development, corporate/client relations
Passionate commitment to and understanding of renewable energy sector
Exceptional commitment to customer service
Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and relationships, effectively driving campaign forward, with a resulting record of success.
Excellent technical and database skills, preferably using fundraising and membership software.
Attention to detail, with enthusiasm for keeping careful records and tracking relationships.
Strong internal and external communication skills to work effectively with and engage across departments with staff and members
