More about this position:Help MSDC and the physician community make the District the best place to practice medicine! This position will be critical to the continued growth of the Medical Society as this 200+ year old organization grows and evolves to better serve the physician community. This new position will assist staff in learning more about our members' (and pre-members') needs, assist with data collection and analysis, and assist with member recruitment and retention.
This position is part-time with a flexible schedule of up to 25 hours per week. The successful applicant will work with the Executive Vice President to set their work schedule within MSDC's business hours. The position is a remote-working opportunity, with the option to work out of MSDC's office, located in beautiful downtown DC.

We were founded in 1817 and work to make DC "the best place to practice medicine". Our members are the heroes of the COVID epidemic who take care of patients in the DC area every day.
Duties and Responsibilities
Membership Retention and Recruitment
Provide first point of contact for member inquiries
Process changes or updates to members’ profiles
Generate invoices and renewal forms for membership renewals
Send receipts and invoices to members upon request
Contact members when their information or payments are incomplete
Support membership and recruitment efforts
Perform other duties as assigned
Learn the MSDC member database and customize to Society needs
Customize and create reports to track membership metrics
Update and uploads lists to marketing software
Transfer data from various MSDC systems to member database
Perform other duties as assigned
Assist the Executive Vice President in setting meetings and calls with prospects
Update MSDC social media channels and website when needed
Staff meetings or events if needed, if located in the DC area
Arrange logistics for in-person meetings, including MSDC Board meetings
Must have demonstrated experience of exceptional customer service
Must have excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communications skills
Must possess a strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently, multitask, prioritize workload, and produce deliverables by deadlines.
Must possess knowledge of Microsoft Office and PDF editing tools
Ability to arrange and manage a video call via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and other technologies
Prior experience with YourMembership or a similar membership management system
Prior association or not-for-profit work experience
Living in the District of Columbia or DC area
Prior experience working for a medical organization, medical office, or workplace with medical professionals
Salary and benefits
$23/hour (negotiable based on applicable experience)
10 days of sick leave annually, accrued throughout the year
15 vacation days annually, accrued throughout the year
10 paid holidays plus Inauguration Day every four years and one floating holiday
Membership in AAMSE and ASAE through MSDC’s organizational membership
