As the food industry association, FMI works with and on behalf of the entire industry to advance a safer, healthier and more efficient consumer food supply chain.  We are seeking an Assistant, Education to provide administrative, planning and project management support for FMI’s Education department.

In this multi-faceted role, the Assistant will coordinate FMI Education conference speaker and sponsor communication letters, invoices, and proposals; coordinate the conference survey process; develop and maintain conference mobile apps, web pages and webinars; assist with coordinating committee meeting arrangements; compile conference mailings; assist with the recruitment of respondents and attendees; post information to the FMI website; assist with educational marketing campaigns and track sales and other general office duties. 

The person who will succeed in this role will have a college degree (preferably in education or other related field) and at least two years of relevant work experience; an ability to organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks with strict attention to detail; strong computer literacy with a firm understanding of and ability to use Microsoft Office 365 products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with Survey Monkey and Adobe Connect; an ability to understand and use database software to process and maintain spreadsheets; strong writing, proofreading, customer service and team orientation skills, excellent telephone, interpersonal communication and project management skills.
