Job Summary
This position is responsible for managing the development of assigned educational programs and Education Subcommittee deliverables. Works in collaboration with subject matter experts to help identify and define content needs.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manages communication with the Annual Meeting Program Committee.
- Manages abstract submission process for the SGO Annual Meeting on Women’s Cancer, including:
- Opening the call all for Abstracts and updating resources/information for submitters.
- Developing abstract Review Assignments for the Program Committee.
- Sending, tracking, and reporting the acceptances of speakers, panelists, moderators, etc.
- Assists with program development and planning, as needed.
- Manages the agendas, conference calls, meetings, meetings minutes, and products/deliverables of education committee subcommittees:
- Chemotherapy/Targeted Therapies
- Immunotherapies, & Opioid/ERAS
- Clinical Trials Management/Concepts
- Education Team liaison to the Foundation for Women’s Cancer (FWC) and other short/long-term projects/programs, as assigned.
- Collaborates with the Director of Education to ensure continuing education compliance standards are met for assigned accredited programs.
- Assist with the development of marketing materials includes the creating of timelines for marketing campaigns, as assigned.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Remains up-to-date with best practices in adult education and instructional technology.
- Facilitate webinars and eLearning events for SGO/FWC, as assigned.
- Manage/assist with program recordings, as needed.
- Contributes to department and activity summary reports, as needed.
- Monitor responses to inquiries sent to the education@sgo.org inbox.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands
Nature of work requires an ability to operate standard business office equipment. Requires ability to communicate verbally and in writing in an exchange of information; collect, compile and prepare work documents; set-up and maintain work files. Occasional day and overnight travel by air and/or automobile may be required. Travel is approximately 5-10 days per year. Use of the computer, with repetitive motion, is approximately 80%.
Working Conditions
Majority of work is performed in a general office environment.
Salary and Benefits
This is a full-time position (37.5 hours/week) located at SGO’s headquarters in Chicago, IL. Salary is commensurate with experience. SGO offers a comprehensive and generous benefits package including PTO, health insurance, and a 401(k) retirement plan to its full-time employees.
