REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: · Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, advertising, journalism, or a related field is required. An advanced degree is a plus. · A minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in progressively responsible leadership positions in communications and marketing, preferably within the cement, concrete, or construction industry. · Other relevant backgrounds will be considered. · Expertise in marketing, communications, and content development for a variety of mediums. · Depth of knowledge in digital, social media, and traditional media including marketing, and promotion. · Demonstrated ability to provide management oversight, leadership, and direction with at least three to five years of significant supervisory experience, including experience creating and managing a budget. · Experience managing online paid advertising programs on both websites and social media platforms, as well as search-engine marketing campaigns. · Significant experience with in-person and virtual event management · Exceptional attention to detail, with an eye for quality control and maintaining PCA branding, creative design, and content consistency in electronic, printed and digital deliverables. · Expertise in visualizing and conveying complex information for audiences of varying levels of knowledge about cement, concrete and related industries. · Exceptional writing and grammatical skills (following AP style). Successful writing experience with a variety of print, electronic, and online communications. · Able to research and track down content, with a talent for translating complex issues for clear and compelling deliverables. · Responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of brand management and communication, including broadcast development and distribution. · Is a solutions-based leader who champions strategic, data-informed decision making, industry best practices, and an ethos of continuous improvement and transparency. · The Director has experience supervising a staff as well as external, strategic consultants and agencies. · Empowered to optimize the organizational design/functional alignment of the Communications team in consultation with the Sr. VP. · Commitment to and passion for the mission and vision of PCA to communicate and generate excitement about its mission, history, vision, programs, and fundamental strengths of the cement and concrete industry. · A strong record of recruiting and developing exceptional people and fostering a transparent work environment where collegiality is a key to success. · Ability to effectively manage contractors and vendors. · Demonstrated business acumen, including the ability to extract and analyze data to make effective, efficient decisions about strategy and process. · Must work well on a team, effectively prioritize and track tasks for both his/her-self as well as the communications team, and consistently meets deadlines. · Must have a keen understanding and constant desire to stay current on the latest effective communications tools used for producing, measuring, and delivering compelling content to target audiences. · Knowledge, understanding, and hands-on experience with IT, new technologies, solutions, equipment---including hardware, software and digital components, a plus. |
