The education manager will ensure that PCI is providing quality continuing education programs to the design and construction communities (our marketplace) and to the membership. The education manager will support the administration of all Institute education programs, including development and distribution of announcements, seminar registrations, and course evaluation and feedback. The education manager will be the main contact to national and state groups that certify education programs related to the precast concrete industry and ensure that all our industry programs meet continuing education requirements of various national groups. The education manager will manage and update education procedural manuals and all record keeping databases for continuing education.
Manage PCI’s external continuing education programs targeting engineers, architects and regulators and maintain good standing as a continuing education provider with appropriate agencies (register all programs)
Verify that all educational resources are up-to-date and easily accessible by partners delivering PCI programming to the marketplace.
Ensure adequate preparation of training personnel responsible for the delivery of PCI education programs to the marketplace and identify new course offerings.
Facilitate the identification, prioritization, and implementation of new industry programs for the industry and the marketplace.
Manage and update the PCI eLearning Center (LMS) and all continuing education platforms used to present synchronous or asynchronous distance learning opportunities.
Manage event education programming and serve as onsite manager of education sessions.
Including PCI Convention and national industry events.
Maintain department operating procedures, direct education coordinators work.
Compile data and analyze past and current education trends to prepare education department budget
Manage Big Beam Competition Program.
Liaison between staff and the Education Activities Council, all committees, and subcommittees under the council.
In coordination with Education Activities Council, establish strategies, messages, and audiences for achieving goals.
In coordination with the Education Council and Quality Activities Council create strategy and programs around quality control schools.
Assist Managing Director, Marketing and Education on other various projects as needed
Educational Programming and Coordination
Attend on-site functions when necessary. (Travel < 10%); Manage packing and shipping of educational materials for such functions.
Administer training events, to include development and distribution of announcements, registration and site arrangements with facilities, including food and beverage.
Confirm instructors and manage development, distribution, and compilation of course evaluations
Manage and conduct PCI’s Online Academy programming and topics.
Compile data and analyze past and current education trends to assist with future sessions
Where appropriate, participate in activities of the PCI Foundation as it relates to target education opportunities.

Required Qualifications and Competencies:
Demonstrated experience in the design, implementation, and management of professional education programs. Experience with IACET’s CEU program and/or AIA’s LU program.
A positive, proactive personality, and an approachable team player.
Professional, well-developed interpersonal skills essential for communicating information to management and staff members and projecting a positive image as a representative of the Institute
A Bachelor’s degree (in communications, education, organizational management, marketing, or related degree) plus a minimum of five years related adult education experience.
Familiarity with continuing education, program evaluation and adult learning principles preferred.
Strong sense of customer/member service.
Attention to detail required, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated organization, project planning and time management skills and ability to prioritize work and multi-task
Association experience is a plus.
Construction industry experience is a plus.
Background or experience with online program development and delivery, web-related technologies, and media skills .
Proficiency in MS Office, social media platforms, and basic understanding of website and digital.
The Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) is an organization dedicated to fostering greater understanding and use of precast and prestressed concrete.
