The person in this position will work with the Director of Marketing and Communication to develop a variety of communications that showcase the benefits of NARI membership to current and prospective members. They will also develop communications that motivate consumers to choose NARI members for their remodeling projects.
Channels to be used include but are not limited to social media, email, public relations, blog posts, podcasts, and video interviews. They will also monitor the results of the campaigns, report on their effectiveness and recommend adjustments to make future iterations of the campaigns more effective.
The person in this role will need to have a cooperative attitude and a willingness to help other team members as needed, the ability to multitask while maintaining a strategic focus and strong project management skills.
Communication-specific tasks include:
Write text for promotional and informational emails, format and distribute them
Draft text for press releases, announcements, and messages to NARI constituents
Proactively pitch story ideas to key journalists and influencers
Write content for the NARI Annual Conference, including onsite guides, event scripts and other communications
Develop new strategies for social media channels and create content for them
Write content to support the NARI content calendar as assigned, sometimes working with third parties such as freelancers and media distribution vendors
Collaborate with stakeholders on writing scripts for videos and podcasts
Assist as needed in the review and production of videos, in house or vendor created
Publish content from Industry Partners on NARI’s blog and social media channels, and provide performance metrics to Member Relations Manager
Update NARI website content as assigned
Gather and track metrics on email and organic social media marketing posts
Execute social media activities, including organic posting and responding to comments and messages on NARI’s social media channels Boost organic social media posts as necessary
Send designed ads to publications as requested
Monitor NARI’s online communities and foster conversations within them
Assemble the monthly metrics report, gathering data and working with designer
Coordinate and organize all content for the weekly NARI NewsWatch e-newsletter
Serve as the contact for media requests, working with media representatives and spokespeople to schedule interviews, track their completion and publication dates
Proofread and edit NARI content developed by NARI departments or other sources for use in email, website, social media, and blog posts – ensuring that voice and tone fit the standards of our communication style
Communicate with Chapter Executives and members to facilitate the operation of marketing and communications programs
Administer electronic accounts for paid and organic social media channels, adding and deleting users as needed
Modify existing logo assets as needed or work with graphic designer to do so
Gather quotes from vendors for printing direct mail campaigns, promotional products and other printed products
Work with print vendors and others to ensure NARI printed pieces are completed and distributed on schedule and on budget
Contribute to the website redesign process to begin in 2023
Assist with tradeshow and other in-person event activity including shipping of materials and possibly staffing such events (some travel may be required)
Support the work and activity of the Marketing & Communications committee, the Workforce Development Committee, and the Government Affairs Committee, including taking attendance at committee meetings, taking notes for minutes, and distributing the meeting notices, minutes, and agendas to the committees and to the Board of Directors
Communicate with the NARI marketing team, staff and other stakeholders regarding program schedules, promotions and related marketing opportunities including but not limited to direct mail, email, social media and paid search campaigns
Assist any/all departments as necessary
Maintain and update department SOPs as necessary
Complete any projects as assigned including purging files, assisting with CotY awards, etc.
It is a plus if the candidate has:
Experience with software in Adobe Creative Suite or video editing software (for small design or editing jobs)
