RTCA is seeking a Membership Engagement Coordinator. RTCA is a private, not-for-profit association founded in 1935 as the Radio Technical Commission for Aeronautics, now referred to simply as “RTCA”. RTCA leads committees comprised of 500+ member organizations which work on the creation and implementation of integrated performance standards that meet the changing global aviation environment and ensure the safety, security, and overall health of the aviation ecosystem. RTCA offers training courses on standards documents and in Safety Management Systems and Human Factors. RTCA produces webinars and other resources such as white papers to address pressing needs in the aviation industry.
Under the direction and supervision of the Senior Director of Industry Relations and Membership, the Membership Engagement Coordinator is responsible for coordinating membership operations, providing document access support and coordinating event logistics.
Supports members in updating their contact information, obtaining document access, joining committees and other areas.
Manages the membership database system to ensure quality and accuracy.
Sends renewal invoices and processes membership payments.
Processes new member applications and coordinates the new member onboarding process.
Runs reports on new members and other membership data.
Assists with assembling mailing lists for email deployment.
Supports marketing efforts on acquisition and retention of members.
Coordinates and deploys member communications to inform customers of new product features, how to best utilize their member benefits, request survey responses and other items.
Supports RTCA’s new member document access platform, troubleshoot member issues as needed.
Supports RTCA events and meetings as an important engagement opportunity with members. Duties may include speaker coordination, Zoom or WebEx coordination/scheduling and website updates.
Supports marketing and logistics efforts for other RTCA initiatives as needed such as RTCA training courses, awards and scholarship programs, creating and ordering items to support RTCA’s participation in industry events.
Provides assistance with creation of Powerpoint presentations.
Other duties as may be assigned.
RTCA’s offices are in Washington, DC. This position can be accomplished with a combination of in-person presence at RTCA’s DC office and telework.
