Position Reports To: Operations & HR Manager
Basic Function of the Position: Manage registration for all Pacific Telecommunication Council’s (PTC) events, both in-person and online.
Critical Duties and Responsibilities: Review, recommend, and execute the registration process for all PTC events to provide a best-in-class experience, to include technology and hardware elements. Respond to registration inquiries and requests in a timely manner and with exceptional customer service: Review incoming registrations. Follow up and frequent communications with registrants. Manage invitation letters and invoices. Process substitutions and cancellations. Answer and make telephone calls. Review, update, and maintain database. Manage the on-site registration desks and staff at the Annual Conference. Work on special projects and other duties as assigned.
Staff: Administrative support from the Executive Assistant.
Education/Training/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications or related field preferred or commensurate experience. 3+ years’ field experience, preferably in non-profit or technology related organizations.
Skills/Capabilities/Technical: Must be able to work independently, as well as part of a team in a positive, flexible, and collaborative manner. Possess a positive, can-do attitude. Superior oral and written communication skills required. Ability to provide exceptional customer service. Organization and problem-solving skills. Proofreading skills. Extreme attention to accuracy and detail. Work effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels. Work simultaneously on multiple tasks and projects and able to set priorities and meet deadlines. Maintain confidentiality and handle information with sensitivity. Proficient with MS Office and e-mail. Experience as a host user for Zoom video conference platform is preferred.
Additional Information: This position requires overtime and travel up to 25%. Ability to travel to Honolulu, Hawaii for the Annual Conference and a minimum of once per quarter to PTC’s office.
