Position
This position is ideal for a talented professional with exemplary time management and project management skills to support all member engagement functions across the association including chapters, sections, interest groups, and volunteer management. Primary responsibilities include association volunteer council support, assisting chapter relations and committee management, ASA Women in Leadership, and other ad hoc responsibilities.
This position is essential to the growth and development of all member engagement programs as they provide customer service to our members engaging in our offerings. This position also assists with marketing and promotion for all engagement programs.

You’ll be a part of driving member engagement as a part of a membership team and will be integral to aligning our member networks with the goals of the organization.
Principal Duties
Supports programs produced by the member engagement team that include sections, interest groups, chapters, women in leadership and other relevant volunteer management. Support includes program development, communication, and event planning coordination.
Handles phone calls and email communications regarding member engagement activities.
Assists with communications with ASA-affiliated chapter groups.
Supports ASA-affiliated chapters with planning and promotion of their annual programs.
Manages production schedule, marketing copy, and timelines to promote all member engagement programs.
Provides support for all section and engagement networking calls, serving as back-up host and developing minutes and takeaways.
Assists with data integrity in Fonteva, ensuring volunteer rosters and records are up to date.
Serves as administrative support to Women in Leadership Interest Group initiatives.
Updating ASA website with relevant information and resources.
Working with publications and public relations teams to post events on ASA website, Staffing Today, LinkedIn, and other available media.
Other responsibilities include assisting with creating a volunteer pipeline and supporting the annual Call for Volunteers process. Experience with Higher Logic community management platform is welcomed but not required.
Additionally, this position is part of the overall membership team and may assist with retention and recruitment strategies as needed for firms that are interested in learning about member engagement offerings.
Qualifications:
Position requires one to two years of relevant experience, in association, business, nonprofit, component management, or related field, and strong verbal and written skills.
Should have strong customer service skills and enjoy interacting with and assisting members.
Able to problem solve, handle multiple tasks, and can work independently and as part of a team.
Demonstrated competency using technology, including Microsoft Office applications and database management.
Must be energetic, self-starting, and have a strong commitment to the vision, mission, and values of the association.
