The Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA) seeks a marketing and communications professional to join our team. We are a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to lead architectural education and research on behalf of more than 7,000+ faculty members in the United States, Canada, and around the world.
The Opportunity
You will manage multiple brands for a global audience of educators and students in architecture schools. With an abundance of programs and activities, you’ll have ample opportunities to create compelling promotional content! Your challenge is to plan and execute successful campaigns through multiple channels. ACSA publishes journals and books, holds in-person conferences and virtual events, and administers annual awards and student design competitions. We are also a forum for our members to collaborate and share their own work.
Responsibilities include:
Developing strategies for effective marketing and communications
Executing promotional campaigns for ACSA programs, publications, and initiatives, according to a calendar and using email, social media, and, on occasion, print media
Managing and developing ACSA websites, including updating pages, creating new pages, and working with staff and vendors on website design and information architecture
Creating marketing and promotions collateral for ACSA programs
Soliciting, editing, and/or writing blog posts for Study Architecture
Creating the weekly ACSA Update email newsletter
Attending conferences to promote ACSA brands, programs and events
The position reports to the Senior Director of Membership, Marketing, and Publications. Duties require skills in project management, collaborative communications processes, and marketing campaign creation and assessment.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree;
Five years experience working in marketing and/or communications, preferably with an association or an organization involved in architecture and design;
Strong written and verbal communication skills;
Work with external vendors, including designers
Experience managing brand collateral
Demonstrated organizational and project management skills;
Self-motivated team player;
Analytical and problem solving skills;
Experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress), HTML/CSS, and website analytic tools;
Experience managing social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Youtube.
Experience with Canva, Later, InDesign and Google Analytics 4
Strong computer skills: use of MS Office suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Mac OS
The position is not a permanent telecommuting position. However, our team is currently operating remotely while our offices are being renovated. We will soon be working in a temporary space near Dupont Circle, Washington, DC, for a limited number of days per month. We anticipate returning to our renovated office space near the White House in 2025.
