POSITION OBJECTIVE: Lead strategic direction, including operations, marketing and relationship management of corporate partnerships, state Farm Bureau relationships, and associated third-party consultant relationships as related to the Member Benefits program. Ensure national member benefit program growth through active prospecting and promotion.

LOCATION: Washington, DC; eligible to earn telework 2 days/week
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Evaluate and implement new opportunities for national member benefit corporate partnerships to strengthen the Farm Bureau brand and add value to Farm Bureau members.
Manage and nurture state relationships through regular communication, providing state contacts with information and updates of current and future programs; strive to meet state Farm Bureau and member needs.
Foster and maintain a relationship with state-specific member benefit partners, when appropriate, to support national sponsorships and represent the AFBF/AFBI brand.
Lead existing national member benefit programs and corporate relationships and recommend steps for improvements to team leadership as necessary.
Create and implement the strategic direction for promotion of national member benefit programs, working collaboratively with internal and external third-party marketing teams.
Develop and establish annual marketing strategies and timelines with corporate partners to increase program sales and improve state promotion of member benefit programs.
Establish and manage annual member benefits budget, including forecasting, quarterly reporting and payment tracking for each program and the overall annual budget.
Evaluate member benefit marketing communication strategies with state Farm Bureaus, enacting changes as necessary based on feedback and effectiveness.
Manage team projects, including consultants and support staff as assigned. Ensure projects stay on-time and on budget.
Lead member benefit presence, promotion and corporate partner recognition at AFBF Convention, IDEAg Farm Shows, and other Farm Bureau meetings.
Plan and lead member benefits meeting, in conjunction with the Senior Director of Membership and Organizational Development, at the AFBF Convention
Engage with state Farm Bureau member benefit coordinators and corporate business partners; lead quarterly State Working Group (SWG) meetings and coordinate monthly state calls, wherever appropriate.
Collaborate with AFBF IT staff and third-party IT contractors to oversee and manage business-specific technology solutions to streamline and improve data management and communications with state Farm Bureau staff, Farm Bureau members and business partners.
RELATIONSHIPS:
Partner and collaborate with state Farm Bureau staff, corporate partners, affiliate companies, outside service providers, AFBF staff and other organizations to achieve the responsibilities and goals of the position.

EDUCATION OR TRAINING REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a business-related field.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Minimum 10 years experience in a customer service focused environment, including proven success in marketing and communication.
Exceptional relationship builder with a customer service mindset - strong interpersonal and leadership abilities with a results driven approach.
Experience managing relationships between agribusiness companies and end consumers.
Experience in planning, budgeting, forecasting and tracking multiple programs and stakeholders with proven time management skills.
Effective verbal, written and presentation abilities.
Ability to generate confidence and trust with all key stakeholders.
