Supports NMHC’s digital publishing and public affairs efforts by creating multifamily assets for NMHC.org, email and social platforms. Works with the communications team to create and distribute multimedia content across multiple platforms to support engagement efforts with members, policymakers, media and key influencers.
Essential Duties
Develop multimedia content to support broad communications and marketing efforts.
Design, update and maintain branded content across all channels—including digital infographics, social media art and print reports, meeting materials, and print/digital ads.
Supports implementation of print and digital ad campaigns and digital grassroots campaigns.
Supports production of podcasts, pre-recorded videos, virtual events and webinars.
Supports production of staff presentation materials.
Supports Web Manager by posting editorial content to NMHC.org and RETTC.org as needed—including newsletters, member topic updates and research reports.
Other duties as assigned.
Other Requirements
Attend NMHC events, and other industry events, as necessary to capture video, audio or photography—and provide other onsite assistance as assigned. Some travel may be required.
Skills and Knowledge Requirements
0-3 years of digital communications work experience.
Basic understanding of content management systems. Other digital publishing platforms a plus.
Demonstrated proficiency with page and presentation formatting, graphic design (using Canva, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop or other similar tool), and video editing and production (using Premiere Pro or other similar tool).
Demonstrated proficiency in creating multimedia assets for news and/or marketing uses for a wide audience.
Keen interest public policy (housing policy interest a plus) or politics and follows the news of the day on politics, markets and major events.
Ability to prioritize, work well under pressure and capably handle/juggle multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
Organized with an eye for detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, including but not limited to executives, managers and subject matter experts.
Ability to be a team player as well as work independently.
Requirements and Compensation
