Develop and manage business plans, budgets, and succession plans. Review and maintain contracts for partnerships with third parties. May author or contribute to ISA content, including position papers, advocacy, and outreach materials (e.g. responses to Federal Register notices). Contribute to the development of the organization's financial goals, other goals, and vision, and actively articulate them to fellow staff members. Develop and execute comprehensive advocacy strategies that align with organizational goals and priorities.
Corporate Engagement:
Identify and cultivate relationships with partners and stakeholders to advance shared objectives. Of primary interest is increasing awareness and utilization of ISA’s product suite. Potential partners include but are not limited to corporations, universities, organizations, and local-international governments.
Collaborate with partners to develop and implement joint initiatives, campaigns, and projects.
Negotiate and manage partnerships, related financial agreements, and other collaborative ventures.
Develop and grow relationships with external entities to increase ISA’s impact on the world.
Obtain written acknowledgment of use/adoption, preferably for purposes of ISA awareness and marketing.
Monitor applicable legal or other impacts on ISA portfolio.
Travel to various meetings, industry events, conferences, seminars, etc., for advocacy, awareness, and partnership purposes.
External Communications
Develop compelling advocacy and corporate engagement materials, including position papers, presentations, and briefing documents.
Collaborate with the communications team to ensure effective communication of advocacy messages to target audiences.
Create content to showcase the organization's impact and initiatives in the corporate and government engagement space.
Advocate for use and adoption of ISA portfolio, including but not limited to standards, training, and certification for the purpose of increasing awareness of and influence by ISA. Engages with corporations, organizations, and governmental entities at all levels.
Strategic Partnerships:
Cultivate and maintain relationships with existing partners, ensuring mutual benefit and satisfaction.
Identify and establish partnerships with organizations that complement our services or enhance our market presence.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and implement partnership strategies.
Networking and Relationship Management:
Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to build a strongprofessional network.
Leverage existing relationships and establish new connections to enhance the organization's visibility and influence.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of advocacy and business development efforts.
Metrics and Reporting:
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of advocacy and
corporate engagement activities.
Provide regular reports on the progress of initiatives and recommend adjustments as needed.
Conduct evaluations to assess the impact of advocacy efforts and corporate
partnerships.
Advocacy Strategy:
Develop and execute comprehensive advocacy strategies that align with organizational goals and priorities.
Monitor legislative and regulatory landscapes to identify opportunities and risks for the organization.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of advocacy efforts with overall business objectives
TRAVEL: Frequent (20%)
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Requires at least ten (10) years in association management at the director/leadership level, with focused expertise in Corporate Engagement and Advocacy initiatives.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
Education: Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in business or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
